Theresa Buchel

My Story

Theresa recently graduated from the Behavioural Neuroscience program at UBC. She took multiple courses in cognitive neuroscience, behavioural psychology, and neurodevelopment and plasticity. Theresa currently works as a behaviour interventionist, where she works one-on-one with children who have a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders including autism and ADHD. She also has experience as a Dance teacher assistant, where she taught children dance techniques and routines. She has worked as a research assistant and a co-researcher, always looking to expand her knowledge and that of others. In her spare time, she loves to cook and learn new recipes as it is a way to connect to a healthy lifestyle as well as bring her closer to others. Joining the Flavourful Science team was an easy decision for Theresa as it allows her to bring together her love for science, cooking, and teaching.
