My Story
Nicholas Tjandra is a second-year Health Sciences student at Simon Fraser University with a passion for cooking and nutrition. His weekly meal preps are driven by a commitment to balanced nutrition, especially as it supports his marathon running. His background in liver disease research and his work experience as a FibroScan Technician, where he interacted with patients diagnosed with liver disease, deepened his understanding of the critical role that diet plays in health. This experience fueled his desire to teach kids about food science and nutrition, leading him to join an organization that creates hands-on workshops. Through these workshops, Nicholas combines his love for cooking and his knowledge of lifestyle interventions to inspire the next generation to make informed choices about what they eat and to explore the science behind nutrition.
