Nicole Cormack

Hi! My name is Nicole Cormack and I am a 4th year Microbiology and Immunology student at UBC. I’m super excited to be your Outreach Coordinator Lead for this upcoming year here at Flavourful Science ! In my spare time, I love to hike, run, swim, and camp and am always up to hear of any recommendations you have for camping spots around BC. I am currently also working in the Emergency Department at VGH on a cardiac study, and am super excited to be an executive member this upcoming year for FS!

 

For me, I’ve always been intrigued by the world of STEM, and the innovative discoveries that accompany it! Being able to be involved in a club that focuses on sparking scientific curiosity and drive in the minds of the youth is incredibly important to ensure that this love for science doesn’t die out! The focus which this club has on hands-on-learning, as opposed to distanced education, is what propels it forward in the educational world today. By being able to engage and interact with students throughout every classroom visit, it creates a unique space where students can explore, ask questions, problem solve, and make amazing discoveries that can completely ignite their passion for science!
