My Story
Kate Choi is a third-year Microbiology and Immunology student at the University of British Columbia with a curiosity for all things bacteria, viruses, and the immune system. From exploring how our bodies fight infections to tackling lab work, she’s passionate about understanding the science behind human health. As the BC Event Coordinator for Flavourful Science, Kate combines her love for science and social connection to create fun, memorable experiences for the team. She enjoys working with kids and has experience both in our classrooms and teaching piano, blending creativity with learning. In her spare time, you’ll likely find Kate by the beach taking in BC’s views, experimenting with new recipes, or rewatching her favourite classic films.
