Sofia Povoledo

My Story

Sofia is thrilled to be serving as Volunteer Coordinator and Volunteer Recruiter for Flavourful Science. She is currently in her final year of a BSc in Neuroscience at UBC, where she has developed a deep interest in the nervous system, human behaviour, and the many ways science can help us understand ourselves and the world around us. Sofia is especially passionate about expanding science outreach to underprivileged and rural communities, and hopes to help more students experience science as something creative, thought-provoking, and within reach. Outside of Flavourful Science, she enjoys climbing, hiking, exploring farmers markets, and any conversation that starts with a simple question and somehow becomes philosophical.
