Norbert Banyi

Norbert’s love for cooking began with his grandparents on their farm in Romania. Since 2016, he has been actively involved with SuperChefs, a camp dedicated to teaching underserved youth about nutrition and cooking skills. During his first year as an undergraduate science student at the University of British Columbia, Norbert combined his passions for science and cooking by founding Flavourful Science, an initiative focused on making STEM education engaging and accessible.

Norbert is now an Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery resident, continuing to bridge his interests in health, education, and community impact. Outside of Flavourful Science and medicine, he enjoys cycling, skiing, and weightlifting.
